VoiceTerm ("the App") is published by Benjamin Jacobs (Belgium). This policy describes what data the App handles and where it goes. Short version: nothing leaves your device unless you explicitly send it to your own SSH server.
The App uses the iPhone microphone to transcribe spoken commands into terminal input. Audio is processed entirely on-device using the Parakeet TDT v3 model bundled with the App. Recordings are not stored, not uploaded, and not shared with any third party. No cloud speech service is used.
Hostnames, usernames, passwords, and private keys you enter are stored only in the iOS Keychain on your device. They are never transmitted anywhere except to the SSH server you explicitly connect to. The author has no access to them.
The App may request background location permission. This is used solely to keep SSH sessions alive while the device is locked or the App is in the background (iOS would otherwise suspend it). Location coordinates are never recorded, stored, or transmitted. You can disable this in Settings; the App will still work but sessions may drop when the screen locks.
The App connects only to:
The author operates no analytics server, no telemetry endpoint, and no user account system.
None. The App contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no tracking framework. Apple may provide aggregate, anonymous App Store metrics to the developer; these contain no personally identifiable information.
Purchase verification is handled by Apple's StoreKit. The author receives only the anonymized transaction information Apple provides. Payment details are never seen by the App or by the author.
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
